Introduction to Cornerstone
-Opened 2006. Cornerstone is a classical
school offering grades K5 through twelve.
-Cornerstone Classical Christian Academy seeks to
assist like minded parents in the educational and spiritual nurture of
their children. Parents are invited to inquire as to the difference a
classical Christian education can make in the lives of their children
and family. We invite families that share our educational goals, are
intentionally rearing children using a Biblical model and are actively
involved in an evangelical church to apply for admission to Cornerstone.
-Teacher Qualifications: Cornerstone employs
teachers who
agree with the Statement of Faith, articulate a credible testimony of
faith in Christ, and who have a passion to disciple young people in an
academic setting. Preference is given to individuals who have teaching
experience and training in the classical model of education. Interested
individuals may obtain a teacher application by accessing the “Contact
Us” section of this website.
-School day schedule: Our academic day
meets from 8:00-2:30.
-Tuition for the 2012-2013 school year is
$3355.00 for K5, $3575.00 for 1st through 6th grades and $3905.00 for 7th through 12th grades.
There is an additional $250.00 registration fee.
-Accreditation: Cornerstone Classical Christian Academy is
a member of the
Association for Classical and Christian Schools. We intend to pursue full
accreditation with ACCS.
-Cornerstone Classical Christian Academy does not discriminate in its
enrollment or hiring practices due to race, gender, age, ethnic
background, or national origin.
What our parents are saying about Cornerstone
In
choosing a life of service to our country, we move often. This is one of
the great joys of our lives but also presents its own unique
opportunities to trust our Lord. How far will we be from our families?
Will we buy a home? Where will we worship and serve? How and where will
we educate our children? Having lived in three states in the last three
years (Alaska to Alabama), I must say we were a bit weary facing our
move to the Montgomery area. Honestly, sometimes I wonder if our
commitment to fully trust in the Lord came as much from our weariness as
our faith.
But God is faithful! He never grows weary! Having given it all to Him,
He repeatedly pointed us toward Cornerstone. Once we visited, we
understood this was the school for our family. This is a place where the
administration and teachers are truly committed to coming alongside
families to instill a love of and commitment to our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. Here, subjects are taught from a Biblical worldview,
discipline stems from a desire for obedience to His word, and fellowship
reflects His heart.
It is with a heavy heart that we prepare for yet another move this
summer. But having seen the way God used Cornerstone to bless our
family, we anticipate great things.

Where Our Name Came From...
"So this is what the Sovereign Lord says:
'See I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, for
a sure foundation: the one who trusts will never be dismayed.'"
